ואומר (יואל ד, יט) מחמס בני יהודה אשר שפכו דם נקי בארצם ואומר (שמואל ב כא, א) אל שאול ואל בית הדמים על אשר המית את הגבעונים
and it is again said: For hamas [the violence] against the children of Judah because they have shed innocent blood in their land,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Joel IV, 19. ');"><sup>23</sup></span> and it is said further: It is for Saul and for his bloody house because he slew the Gibeonites.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' II Sam. XXI, 1.
